Honest Arizona Joins Valle del Sol’s Holiday Heart Celebration to Spread Joy and Health This Season

PHOENIX — Honest Arizona proudly participated in the Valle del Sol Holiday Heart celebration last weekend, bringing together over 300 attendees where more than 500 toys were distributed to children, ensuring smiles and holiday spirit for families across the valley.

The celebration highlighted the importance of the health and well-being of the community: offering on-site flu vaccines, COVID-19 boosters, free dental screenings, and fluoride treatments for children.

"The Holiday Heart celebration embodies the spirit of community and giving, and we are proud to stand alongside Valle del Sol in their commitment to enriching lives and fostering health and well-being," said Andrea Moreno, executive director of Honest Arizona. "As families face high costs this holiday season and we approach next year’s ACA tax credit expiration, we will continue to support the community, provide Arizona families the resources they need to understand their health care options, and fight to make sure Congress extends the ACA tax credits and protects Medicaid."

Congressmen Juan Ciscomani and David Schweikert are members of the Republican Study Committee that has repeatedly laid out budgets that would make massive cuts to the Affordable Care Act and eliminate the Inflation Reduction Act's tax credits for health care coverage. The tax credits are set to expire at the end of 2025 unless the Republican-controlled Congress extends them.
